Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to spread to other parts of the body. In the year 2011 alone, there were over 1.5 million occurrences alone. Prostate cancer was the most common, with 209,292 cases in the United States. Pennsylvania had the highest rate of all cancer occurrence per 100,000 with 2,341, and Utah the least, with 1,306 total cases during 2011.
